NCERT, an apex organization for Educational Research,
Teacher Training, Development of Curriculum and Instructional
Material in School Education, invites applications from
candidates for filling up one post (likely to be increased)
of Principal (Group 'A') for its Regional Institute of Education
in the Pay band of Rs. 37,400- 67,000/- with AGP of Rs.
10,000/- (Pre-revised) on tenure basis initially for a period
of two years extendable by maximum five years.
Essential Qualifications:
1. A Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an
equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system
is followed) by a recognized University.
2. A Ph.D Degree in a relevant discipline(s) with evidence of
published work and research guidance.
3. Associate Professor/ Professor with a total experience of fifteen years of teaching/
research/ admini-stration in Universities, Colleges and other
institutions of higher education.
4. A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic
Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based
Appraisal System (PBAS) as set out in UGC's Regulations in
Appendix III for direct recruitment of Professors in
Colleges.
5. The applicant should not be more than 57 years of age as
on closing date of receipt of applications.
Desirable:
1. Degree/P.G. Diploma in the field of education/educational
administration.
2. At least 2 years' field experience in school level
education.
Applications in the prescribed format along with attested
photocopies of documents relating to qualifications
including mark sheets, recent photograph, crossed DD of Rs.
100/-non-refundable (not required for SC/ST/Persons
with Disabilities candidates/ Women candidates and Council
employees) in favour of Secretary, NCERT payable at
State Bank of India, NCERT Branch, New Delhi-110016, be
sent to the Section Officer, Recruitment Section-I, Room
No.-12, 5th Floor, Zakir Husain Block, NCERT, New
