Filing up the post of two Senior Hindi Translators in
the office of the Pr. Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Odisha,
Bhubaneswar on deputation basis- regarding.

It is proposed to fill up two vacant posts of Senior Hindi Translator,
General Central Service, Group- 'C', Non- Gazetted, Non Ministerial
in the Pay level 7 of 7th Pay Matrix [Pre revised PB-2 (Rs. 9300-
34800) with Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/-] in this office (to be posted at
Bhubaneswar / Cuttack/ Sambalpur) by transfer on deputation from
amongst the Central Government servants possessing the
prescribed qualifications which are indicated infra.

01. Officer of the Central Government:-
(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis, OR,
(ii) With five year regular service in the post of Junior Translator
(Hindi) in Pay band-2 Rs. 9300-34800 with grade pay of Rs. 4200/-
(Pre- revised).
02. Educational Qualification-
(i) Master's degree of a recognized University in Hindi/English with
English/Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or as medium of
examination at degree level. OR
Master's Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than
Hindi/English with Hindi/English medium and English/Hindi as a
compulsory/elective subject or as medium of examination at degree
level. OR
Master's degree of a recognized University in any subject other than
Hindi/English, with Hindi and English as compulsory/ elective
subjects or either of the two as medium of examination and the other
as a compulsory/elective subject at degree level. AND
(ii) Recognized Diploma/Certificate course in translation from Hindi
to English and vice-versa or two years experience of translation
work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central/State
Government offices including Government of India Undertakings.
(3) While on deputation, the official will be governed by the normal
terms of deputation, as laid down in the Ministry of Personnel, Public
Grievances and Pension OM. No. 2/29/91-Estt.( Pay-II), dated 5th
January, 1994 and as amended vide OM. NO. AB-6/8/2009-Estt.
(Pay-II) dated 17th June 2010.
(4) The Period of deputation of selected candidates shall not
ordinarily exceed three years.
(5) To check the suitability of candidates, their proficiency in Hindi
and their ability to translate into both languages( English and Hindi)
a written test and interview may be conducted by the Head of the
administration.
(6) The maximum age limit for appointment by transfer on
deputation shall not be exceeding 56 years as on the closing date
for receipt of applications.
(7) Selected candidate's transfer/posting will be governed by the
prevailing rules.
(8) Any candidates selected will ordinarily not be allowed to withdraw
his/her name.
(9) Applications of the willing employees who fulfil the prescribed
requisite qualifications and conditions of eligibility and whose
services can be spared may be forwarded through proper channel
to the office of The Pr. Chief Commissioner of Income Tax,
Aayakar Bhawan, Rajaswa Vihar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha-
751007. Application is to be submitted in duplicate, in the format
given in Annexure A.
(10) The application must be complete in all respects and should be
accompanied by the character roll dossiers (ACRs)/APARs of the
applicant concerned for the preceding 5 years i.e. up to 2016-17
along with a certificate that "No Disciplinary case is pending or
contemplated against the applicant and no minor/major penalty has
been imposed during the last 5 years".
(11) Application should reach this office within 60 days of the
publication of notice in the Employment News. Any application
received without proper channel and without the requisite
certificates/documents and after the stipulated date will not be
entertained.
